Trends: How cool are these plates?

6a7af-rablabsIf you’re looking for something unusual, Rab Labs has a line of agate plates and coasters that are unlike anything I’ve ever seen. They’re sleek, modern and artistic.

According to the Web site, the company was founded in 2002 by Anna Rabinowicz, a designer and engineer. Rabinowicz has designed webcams for Logitech, concepts for General Motors and medical devices for cardiac surgery. She currently teaches in the design department of Parsons School of Art and Design in New York.

  1. Maybe Santa Claus will read your blog and get the hint. You might wake up Monday morning in Etta with a host of blue agate coasters, a glow-in-the-dark camisole and a voucher for a color-shifting shower rennovation.

  2. I really don’t think I’d want the glow-in-the-dark camisole. I think it might only appeal to people who attend raves on ecstasy. The purse would be kind of interesting though, but potentially tacky. I don’t think Santa has enough funds to bring me the agate plates. They’re pretty high-end. But the voucher for the color-changing shower would be cool. That’s pretty rad.
