Mississippi lures another city dweller with beauty/nice people

This is another thing I probably shouldn’t post because if other people like Karen Dardick find out just how great some places in Mississippi are, they will likely sell their expensive Los Angeles homes like she did, take their enormous pile of cash and purchase all of our historic mansions, leaving none for those of us without huge sums of L.A. money. Apparently the native New Yorker/Los Angeles transplant attended the Spring Pilgrimage in Natchez last year and fell in love with the city and its people, so she cashed in her L.A. chips and moved out of the Southern California congestion into a historic Victorian home in downtown Natchez. Her article, “A Magnolia State of Mind,” is featured on the L.A. Times Web site this week. Check it out, but be warned. Coming to Mississippi could be a life-changing experience. Apparently, we are so darn hospitable and gracious that, like Dardick, you may be immediately compelled to uproot your family and relocate here. Welcome Karen. 🙂 Got a comment?
